Victorian Onyx with 18ct Gold and seed pearl brooch

Beautiful Onyx leaf brooch. This is a lovely Victorian Onyx brooch, with an 18ct Gold and seed pearl leaf. It’s a lovely angular thick piece of onyx which has been carved beautifully. There is then a little 18ct Gold maple leaf set in the middle with 6 pink coloured seed pearls. The pin is made from a base metal. It’s a really lovely antique piece. Brooches are so versatile you can pin them to your lapel, hold together a cardigan or scarf or use them as a chain extender.

This brooch itself is in great condition, the onyx and gold/pearls are almost perfect. The only defects on the brooch are with regards to the way the pin has been attached to the onyx. But it is securely attached and works fine. It doesn't affect wear or the beauty of the piece. It has been cleaned and polished.
