Antique 9ct gold turquoise spider pendant

A not so spooky spider. I always love Edwardian/victorian spider pendants and this one is just such a cute piece with a little spider and what looks like the starting of a web. It has a little turquoise body adding a little bit of brightness to what could be a macabre piece. The Victorian’s loved creepy crawly jewellery as they started to understand more and more about the exotic creatures. What I also love about this pendant is the little spider actually moves side to side like a half spin. Spiders are a perfect addition to your jewellery collection at anytime of the year but feel very appropriate for spooky season.
