1920s-30s Silver Butterfly Wing Brooch

Gorgeous Butterfly Wing Brooch. This lovely Elipse shaped brooch is made from Silver and has a lovely detailed frame around the Butterfly Wing. The Butterfly wing would be from a Morpho butterfly and has this wonderful Blue iridescent colour and what makes this even more pretty is that you can also see the black/brown part of the ring (look up these beautiful butterflies and you’ll see they have a brownish edge to them). This jewellery became popular in the 1920s and 1930s which is the time period I believe this brooch originates from. It would make a fabulous gift.

Hallmarks- Silver written on the back of the brooch.
Weight- 8.33g
Measurements- 4.9cm long x 1.9cm wide

This brooch is in good condition, the only issue is that it is missing the safety chain and a slight bent pin. But nothing that would affect wear. It has been cleaned and polished sympathetically to keep the natural patina.
