14ct Faience Scarab pendant

Scarab pendants have been popular for centuries especially by the Egyptians who would adorn their dead with scarabs to protect them and help them travel to the after life. It became very popular once again during the 1920s with Egyptian revival jewellery. Once more people are enjoying wearing scarabs as they represent good luck, rebirth and protection. This one is a lovely carved piece which has a grey colour to it. On the back it is adorned with hieroglyphics. It is set into 14ct rose gold. it would make a great addition to anyone who loves to wear good luck charms.

Hallmarks- very worn so unreadable. It has been tested as 14ct.

Weighs- 1.6g

Measures- 2.1cm x 1.1cm wide

This is in good condition as with anything vintage there maybe signs of wear. It has been cleaned and polished.
