Antique 9ct Gold Tassel pendant

Antique spikey number. Tassels are such a vibe I feel like they are a real old classic but some how feel modern and bring a boho vibe. Tassels in jewellery date from as early as 3000BC in Egyptian history they were seen as protective against evil spirits and they have been popular ever since. I love how they add movement to your neck stack and they are always so different. This one in particular I adore how the tassel element itself is made from these for gorgeous snake chains with spikes on the end of each one giving it an edginess. The spike emulate the spike/pyramid shape to the main section of the tassel. It is wonderfully engraved and chased with scrolling motifs, just stunning! It’ll look amazing in a stack!

Measures- 4.5cm x 1.1cm 

This tassel is in good condition, there is a couple of small holes in the main mount are of the tassel, please see pictures, they are hard to spot. It may look like there’s 2 tassels missing however I don’t believe there is, it has been made where there is 4 chains on each side of a of circle and they cannot move around as there is a bar in between, so it is the design nothing is missing, again I have tried to show this in pictures. It has been cleaned and polished.
